Neninthe – A Cinema about Cinema – is a typical Puri Jagan product. After giving so many block buster hits like Pokiri, Chirutha, Bujjigadu, Desamuduru, Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammai, Badri, Itlu Sravani Subrahmanyam and Idiot, he presents the larger-than-life picture of Tollywood in his latest movie Neninthe. This is the movie that Puri Jagan uses to preach to the rest of the world about the Telugu film industry’s virtues, and the great Satans it encounters in its quest for survival.

VV Vinayak donned the guest role of himself in this movie. Brahmanandam is hilarious as a mediocre director and he provides a lot of entertainment. Krishna Bhagawan is good as the nasty guy with his one line comedy punches. Venu Madhav is hilarious in ‘Tamil director’ get up and in the ‘deep shit’ episode. Sairam Shankar is nice as the fans president. Subbaraju stands out with excellent performance though he imitated Mahesh Babu at times.

Music by Chakri and all the songs are very good. Krishna Nagare Mava (penned by Bhaskarabhatla) is excellent. ‘Oh I miss you’ (sung by Raghu Kunche) is pretty romantic. The way Puri Jagan integrated the narrative of the story into the songs picturization is also excellent.

Synopsis:-Ravi (Ravi Teja) is an assistant director doing time under Idli Vishwanath (Brahmanandam), an established director with an ego untouched by his worth. Struggling to get a break as a director for his own script, he makes a powerful enemy in Yadu (Supreet Reddy), a local goon, while trying to protect Sandhya (Seiya), a junior artiste/dancer. The film traces the contours of the Telugu film industry while showcasing his struggle for success, and provides more than a silhouette.
